Dr. Tanya Harrison is the Manager of Science Programs for Planet Labs. In this role, she works to increase the use of Planet's Earth observation imagery by scientists to enable discoveries that could help change our world. Tanya holds a Ph.D. in Geology with a Specialization in Planetary Science and Exploration from the University of Western Ontario, a Masters in Earth and Environmental Science from Wesleyan University, and a B.Sc. in Astronomy and Physics from the University of Washington. She is also a passionate science communicator, talking about all things Mars and working to promote the status of women and people with disabilities in STEM.
