In 1997, Dr. Zee helped to establish the Space Flight Laboratory (SFL) at the University of Toronto Institute for Aerospace Studies (UTIAS), a unique self-sustaining lab in Canada that he continues to lead.  SFL’s mandate is to provide superior value in space missions at home and internationally through the latest advances in smaller satellites.  To date, SFL has broken many performance-cost barriers with 18 highly successful satellites in orbit and many more under construction.   SFL develops complete satellite missions, arranges launches, and commissions and operates satellites for organizations around the world. SFL “pushes the envelope” of next generation microspace missions, providing bigger return from smaller satellites.
