Vice President, Business Development
Mr. McLeod has over 23years of experience in the satellite industry, with a focus on satellite remote sensing, satellite ground systems, and satellite communications. In his current role he is responsible for Business Development for MDA Satellite Systems, based in Montreal, Quebec. MDA’s facilities there include extensive manufacturing capabilities for satellite systems, from complete communications and remote sensing payloads, to individual subsystems such as antennas, RF components, and space qualified electronics.

Mr. McLeod holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Queen’s University, a Master’s
degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of British Columbia, specializing in Digital Signal
Processing for satellite Synthetic Aperture Radar, and an MBA from Queen’s. During his career he has
worked as a research engineer, a software/systems engineer, a project engineer, a program manager, a business development director, and as a business unit director in addition to his current position. He has worked in Vancouver, San Diego, Ottawa, and Montreal, on projects for customers in Europe, Asia, North America, and South America.

Mr. McLeod has offices in both Montreal and Ottawa, and resides in Ottawa with his wife and two
children. When not working he can be found coaching hockey, running the community ice rink, skating the Rideau canal, playing soccer, or kayaking/sailing on a local lake.
